About Herohero

To properly introduce ourselves, here's a few words about who we are and what we do.

Updated over a week ago

Herohero is a platform designed for creators and their fans. It doesn't matter if you create videos, record podcasts, take photographs, write or even cook. On Herohero you have full creative freedom to upload any type of content.

Who is Herohero for?

It’s for anyone who has something to offer to their community on a monthly basis: video creators, podcasters, designers, artists, game developers, consultants, teachers, tutors, map-makers, etc. It’s for people who want to escape the infinite scroll, constant ads, and the need to sell a few minutes of ad space. It’s for those who are ready to embrace the new mode of selling your creative expression 🎨🖌.

Why is it called Herohero?

Our name reflects the value we put on creative work. Getting paid for your creativity shouldn’t be considered ‘support’. You shouldn’t feel like you need someone to buy you a coffee or ask for patronage to survive, you should be able to take pride in what you do. Creative work is just as valuable as any other, and that is why we’re called Herohero. Creatives are heroes, they bring ideas that shape and mould our world, they entertain, they inform, and most importantly, they create for its own sake. People are creative by nature, and we never create in isolation, it’s a communal process, and that is why your communities are heroes as well 🦸‍♀️🦸.

Why was Herohero founded?

Creative work is a job like any other – and we believe that every job should be rewarded accordingly. That’s why we created a platform with fair conditions, where creators can get financially rewarded directly from their fans.

Why doesn't Herohero have an overview of all its creators or a ‘feed’?

We consider the idea of showing fans of individual creators other profiles – potential competition, undesirable. You don't get put into a 'category' here. Your subscribers only see what they came here for, you 💎.

Why doesn’t Herohero have ‘like’ buttons?

The platform is designed with regard to mental well-being of its users - that is why we don’t support the idea of relying on “likes” as an index of your work’s quality 🙌.

Who’s behind Herohero?

Herohero was started by a group of creatives themselves, who were already working in the space (we previously co-created GoOut – an established platform for cultural events). We are people from the land of artists, writers, and dreamers, in the heart of Bohemia in Prague 🇨🇿. We saw there was something missing in the current landscape, a place that evened the playing field and respected everyone involved in the creative process. We wanted to build a better, more dignified way to make an actual living from your original work.
