Content Reporting and Users’ Rights
At Herohero, we care about the transparent and fair operation of the platform. Below you will find information on how to report potentially illegal content, how such reports are assessed, and what rights you have in this context.
These procedures comply with European rules for digital services (the Digital Services Act) and related legal regulations.
How Herohero Works and Responsibility for Content
Herohero is an online platform that allows creators to publish content for their subscribers. Content on the platform is created and published by individual creators, who bear responsibility.
As the platform operator, we are not the originator of this content and do not bear responsibility for its legality beyond the obligations set out by applicable law. We have no general obligation to review content in advance or to actively seek out potentially illegal activity.
How to Report Potentially Illegal Content
If you believe that specific content published on Herohero violates applicable laws, you may report it to us via email or the contact form.
For us to assess the report properly, objectively, and within a reasonable timeframe, it must be sufficiently specific. The report should therefore include in particular:
precise identification of the content, such as a specific link, episode title, or—in the case of video or audio content—the relevant time segment,
a brief and factual explanation of why you believe the content is illegal,
contact details, if you wish to be informed of the outcome of the assessment.
Without sufficient identification of the specific content, it may not be possible to substantively assess the report.
What Happens After a Report Is Submitted
After receiving a report, we will:
confirm receipt of the report, if you provide contact details,
assess the report based on the information you provide,
inform you of the outcome of the assessment or explain the reasons why the report could not be assessed.
When assessing content, we proceed with due care and with regard to the rights of all affected parties. In particular, we take into account freedom of expression and the principle of proportionality, and we avoid arbitrary or disproportionate interference with content.
Decisions and Further Remedies
If you disagree with our procedure or decision, you may request a further review through our internal process or use other legal remedies available under applicable law.
This does not affect any of your rights, including the possibility of contacting the competent public authorities.
Your Rights in Connection With Content Reporting
When submitting a report, you have the right for it to be assessed fairly, carefully, and proportionately, based on the information you provide.
In particular, you have the right to:
be informed about how your report is handled,
receive information about the outcome of the assessment, if you provide contact details,
request a further review of the procedure or decision through available internal or external means,
exercise any other rights or claims to which you are entitled under applicable law.
This procedure does not in any way limit your ability to seek protection or remedy before courts or other competent public authorities.
