How to Succeed on Herohero

1. How to set up a successful Herohero profile? 🪞

Everything you need is in Settings → Edit profile. Here are the key steps:

  • Upload a profile picture - first impressions count.

  • Choose a simple, memorable name - so subscribers can easily remember you.

  • State how often you post and what your content is worth, in your bio. Example: "A new episode every Wednesday plus bonus content" / "Stories you haven't heard, and behind-the-scenes info"

  • Set up a memorable URL: herohero.co/your-name.

  • Turn on public previews - let people peek at your content before subscribing.

  • Set a discount for the yearly subscription - reward your loyal subscribers.

2. What's the best way to launch? Invitations! 🎟️

A smooth launch has its own rules. Use a discounted invitation to build trust right from the start. Publish the link together with your first piece of content on Herohero.

Ideal invitation setup for launch: 100% free, for 1 month, valid for 14 days.

When promoting your launch discount, create a sense of urgency: "The first of you get a month free, this offer is only available for a limited time."

💡 Tip: More than 50% of subscribers who sign up for a free trial continue on as paying subscribers in the following months.

3. How to use YouTube? 👀

YouTube is the main platform that brings subscribers to Herohero. Here's how to make the most of it:

  • Split your videos into a free and a paid part. The ideal spot is right after an interesting question, or right after opening a new topic.

  • Don't underestimate your thumbnail. It should include a caption different from the video title and a striking visual.

  • Put a link to your Herohero profile in the first line of both the video and channel description.

  • At the start and end of the free part, mention that the full content is available on Herohero and that the link is in the description.

  • At the end, cut together clips from the paid part - give viewers a taste of what they're missing.

  • Publish short formats and clips as YouTube Shorts.

💡 Tip: Make the free part a bit longer rather than shorter - short teasers won't work as well for you.

4. How to use Instagram? 📱

Instagram is a great channel for regularly promoting your Herohero profile. How to use it properly:

  • Put a link to your Herohero profile in your bio. If you link only to Herohero, you'll increase the chance of people actually clicking through.

  • Regularly promote your content through Stories with a link to your profile.

  • Put the URL in your Reels: herohero.co/your-name.

  • Think of creative promotional formats, but don't forget to also create full, free content.

💡 Tip: 40% of users reach Herohero by typing the URL directly into their browser - a readable profile address really does pay off.

5. Connecting Herohero with Spotify 👂🏻

Spotify lets you promote your subscription directly within the app. Here's how:

  • Choose an external host for your podcast - it will let you connect it to your Herohero account and sell directly through Spotify.

  • Create a Spotify for Creators account. Copy the RSS URL from your external host and add your podcast to Spotify for Creators. Note - you need to have uploaded your first piece of content already.

  • Enable RSS sharing through your Herohero account - you'll find this option in Settings.

  • Copy the RSS URL again and add your Herohero profile to Spotify for Creators.

  • Sync both accounts: Open your "unpaid" profile → the Episodes menu → Synced Channels.

💡 Tip: This gets you sales banners that let Spotify listeners click straight through to your Herohero account.

6. How to use Spotify?

Once you've connected Spotify, here's how to properly present your content:

  • Split your audio recording into a free and a paid part.

  • Put a link to your Herohero profile in the first line of both the episode and channel description.

  • At the start and end of the free part, mention that the full content is published on Herohero and that the link is in the description.

  • At the end of the episode, cut together audio clips from the paid part.

7. How to keep up long-term growth? 📈

A few final tips for steady, long-term growth of your Herohero profile:

  • Use other platforms too - it all depends on where your content generates the most reach.

  • Use an email list to send out discounted invitations.

  • Focus on clarity and consistency in your content. Add new formats gradually and publish regularly - that's the foundation of long-term success.

We're rooting for you! 💜
