Publishing a post

Your subscribers came for this. Let's have a look at the operative of posting your content on Herohero:

  1. To publish a post, click the ➕ icon in the main menu.

  2. Add text, media, files – anything your post should contain.

  3. If you've added a video, audio or any kind of file, you can choose a thumbnail in the next step.

  4. Add category tags – preexisting or new ones, simply type in the name of the category your post should be displayed in and select the tag from the list below (if this is a new category, click the ➕ icon in the categories box. These tags be displayed on your profile and will help your subscribers filter what kind of content they want to see.

  5. See your post's preview and check if everything is the way you want it to be. If you want to make a scheduled post, do so in this step.

  6. Publish your post. 🎉 Your subscribers will see the post immediately if you didn't choose the option of a scheduled post.

Post categorisation

You can add a category tag 🏷 to each post during editing. Using these tags on your profile, your subscribers will be able to effectively filter what kind of content they want to see.

To create a new category, do so in a corresponding step of the create/edit mode of a post (see above in Publishing a post). To rename or delete a category, select the pencil icon next to the list of categories on your profile.

Post scheduling

When creating a new post, you can set the date and time of publication 🕓 – an ideal solution for those cases where the creator does not want to or cannot wait for the right moment to publish a post manually.

  1. Create a post, add categories, and go to post preview.

  2. In the Preview section, click the clock icon and schedule the date and time of publication.

  3. Share it. The post will appear on your wall but will be hidden from your subscribers until the date and time you picked.

Post pinning

In case you want a certain post to be the first thing your subscribers see when they visit your profile, you can easily pin it 📍via the three dots icon at the bottom of the post. The post will be automatically displayed to all your subscribers at the top of your profile.

This could be the ideal place for a welcome message, a brief overview featuring the contents of the profile, the most interesting or popular post, profile rules, a calendar of upcoming events, or a special contest for your Herohero subscribers only.

Pictures and text

You can upload pictures in their full size. Thanks to the simple and minimalistic design, the pictures stand out beautifully. Herohero is ideal for photographers. Use our gallery feature 🖼 to add multiple files to one post - photos, videos and/or any other supported file formats and their combinations. You can upload up to 30 pictures, or up to 10 different files to one post.

Text can be displayed standardly, in cursive or bold 🖌. You can also add links and emoticons. Longer bodies of text will automatically be shortened to keep your profile clean and uncluttered.

Audio and video player

You can upload content directly to Herohero, without having to worry about the size or length of the format. Our player works with all desktop and mobile devices and even allows users to play content with a locked screen. In this respect, Herohero is ideal for all audio and video creators 🎥 🔈.

The player features include playback speed setting, looper, remembering the last position through different devices, and last but not least, the audio-only mode 🔈 automatically generated audio track from each video file, which is also compatible with our RSS function.

For easier orientation in a longer audio/video file, you can use timestamps - listeners and viewers can use them to conveniently skip from one chapter to another. Add the timestamp in the description of the file in the format of MM:SS (or H:MM:SS, if the track is longer) and press the space bar – the timestamp will become a link.

💡 If you want the player to graphically distinguish individual parts from each other, add '00:00' to the beginning of the list of timestamps.

💡 If you're including the public part in your premium content on Herohero, don't forget to mark the beginning of the ‘bonus’ part in the description or via timestamps – so your fans don’t have to look for where they left off on YouTube, for example.

For each audio and video file (as well as for PDF, DOC, RAW or DNG files) you can upload a custom thumbnail 🖼 – both while creating a new post and retroactively through the edit post tool.
