RSS feature

A guide to listening to Herohero-only audio files in your favorite podcast app.

Updated this week

🔈 With this feature, an active creator is able to allow his subscribers to play their audio content outside of Herohero in their favorite podcast app, both in online and offline mode (e.g. on an airplane). If you're interested in syncing or listening to exclusive content on Spotify, find out more here.

A guide to allowing RSS for creators

Simply enable the feature in a corresponding section of your profile settings. Once you turn on the RSS feature, your subscribers will be able to generate a link, insert it into their podcast app of choice, and gain access to all of your old episodes as well as the new ones after you publish them. If someone unsubscribes from your profile, they will also be unsubscribed from automatically downloading new episodes through RSS.

💡 To ensure that your subscribers know how to use our RSS link, feel free to share with them our easy guide below.

A guide to listening to audio via RSS for fans

🔈 The RSS function is mainly used for the purpose of listening to your purchased audio content outside of Herohero – both in online and offline mode (e.g. on an airplane). We strongly recommend using it together with the Apple Podcasts, the YouTube Music podcast section or Pocket Casts applications.

It could also help you access video content offline, but it only applies to the audio track of the video via audio only mode 💡.

  1. If your favourite creator has the RSS feature turned on, click the '...' button in the upper right corner of the profile.

  2. Generate an RSS link.

  3. Open the Apple Podcasts/Pocket casts/YouTube Music app.

  4. In the Apple Podcasts app, select File, then 'Add a Show by URL...' (in the mobile version, you can find this feature in the 'Library" section under the '...' icon).

  5. When using Pocket Casts, click “Discover” on your homepage, paste in the podcast's RSS feed in the search tab and click "Enter", then confirm by clicking “Subscribe”.

  6. Find a detailed guide on using your RSS link in YouTube Music here.

  7. Paste the RSS link and confirm.

You’re all set! From now on, new episodes will automatically load into your app when posted 🎉.
